The opportunities are always about the future.
Examples of opportunities:
- A growing market for the project’s subject (growth concerns the future, the market may rise but it is not certain)
- The ability to sell to foreign markets (the ability to be used in the future or not)
How to distinguish Opportunities from Strengths ?
- Opportunities are related to an external environment and you have no impact on then. Strengths are related to an internal environment and you can have impact on then.
- Opportunities does not currently exist but may occur in the future. Strengths currently exist.
